Built in the early 70s and originally intended as a summer home, this modern dwelling underwent a substantial remodel to accommodate year-round residency. Positioned on a forested lot in the Clyde Township of rural Wisconsin, this home features an open floor plan and lofted, wooden spaces. In addition to system upgrades, the kitchen and bathrooms are furnished with painted shaker cabinetry and light countertops to balance the abundance of wood. Reclaimed school slate chalkboards and creative re-use of family heirloom furniture pieces serve as tangible reminders of the home’s history and setting.
